Gioia GHEZZO
Gioia is a Venetian illustrator who madly loves her lagoon. The silence of the "calli", the scent of saltiness, the sea breeze are her greatest sources of inspiration. She is fascinated by working with volumes, creating soft, sweet and buttery shapes that reflect her dreaminess and incurable romanticism. She often depicts a voluptuous femininity, powerful in its vitality, but softened by the implicit grace of the subjects. She also enjoys illustrating animals, objects, landscapes, still lifes and recipes. She prefers traditional illustration, in fact she uses gouache and watercolours.
