Bianca Tschaikner

Bianca Tschaikner is a visual artist based in Dornbirn, Austria. 

She studied printmaking at the International School of Graphic Arts in Florence, Italy, and has a Master’s degree in illustration from the University of Fine Arts Macerata, Italy (2017).

Her practice exists at the intersection of drawing, printmaking, ceramics, text and bookmaking. Working in a wide range of media, her work process always involves an experimental and intuitive approach.

Her art projects investigate narratives and mythologies of different places, often working in the context of artist residencies and research journeys to countries such as India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Iran, Malta, Italy, Jordan, and Spain, immersing herself into different places for extended periods of time in the search of stories, images and atmospheres.

She has showcased her work in various exhibitions at art institutions, galleries and museums throughout the world.
