Craftsmanship: where art and beer meet

BAV (Venetian Craft Brewery) EVENT AND MEETING WITH ARTISTS

On 1st July 2023 at 18:30 we will host the BAV brewery in our gallery which will tell us the story of their company and explain the secrets of their beers which we will try all together with a special tasting.

Our name is Birrificio Artigianale Veneziano, and we are proud of it, but we also feel responsible for it. Venice is a unique and beautiful city, for this reason we want, in our small way, to be its ambassadors, and to tell it through what comes best to us: beer ."

BAV was born in 2010 and after a series of difficulties and setbacks, a group of friends took over the ownership with the intention of reviving fortunes and finding a new direction. The two keywords for their project are passion and commitment. In fact, the company creates beers that respect production traditions and that have, at the same time, their own identity. The dedication and professionalism soon pays off BAV which, starting from 2013, begins to receive the first prizes from important competitions and recognitions in the guides of the sector. Thanks to a widespread distribution, the brewery begins to make itself known in Italy and in the rest of the world.

The craft establishment wants to celebrate creative thinking and does so by commissioning artists to create the labels for their beers. Their very special beers need equally unique labels that make the bottle a collector's item and its content a more exciting experience than simple drinking. BAV's passion for beer has common traits with the work of artists: creativity, technique and courage . This is why the brewery decided to collaborate with Venetian artists who have been making bottle labels for them for years. Among these artists there are Gioia Ghezzo, Giada Maestra, Mattia Riami and Lucio Schiavon, four artists of our gallery.

On July 1st you will have the opportunity to meet two of them, Lucio and Mattia, who will tell you more about this collaboration and the story behind their labels live.
