Pierre-Emmanuel Lyet
Pierre-Emmanuel Lyet is an illustrator and filmmaker.
He graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. His work revolves around the sensations and emotions created by light and color. He explores the nature of representation and the dual readings that an image can contain. His personal drawing work is exhibited at the Slow Galerie in Paris.
In animation, he is the creator of the short films Parade and La Nuit Américaine d’Angélique, as well as musical programs for young audiences on television, such as Pierre & the Wolf and Luz et les Sonidos.
He has exhibited his typographic and animation work during the Saison Graphique in Le Havre, as well as at the Centre Pompidou in Paris in 2019.
In 2024, he was awarded the Villa Albertine residency, during which he wrote his new children’s book, De l’autre côté de la Pluie, in New York.
