Claire DUPLOUY
Always attracted to the world of art, Claire Duplouy left her home town and enrolled at the Higher School of Graphic Arts in Aurillac where she began to create her universe. She continued her studies at the Beaux-Arts of Bourges and experimented with different media such as photography, video, sound installation and painting. Her love for the poetry of images and sound enabled her to enter the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Audiovisuel in Toulouse. Her dreamlike and fantastic universe grew and she directed two short fiction films. After her master's degree, she returned to the capital and picked up her brushes again.
"In my paintings, I depict an exfoliating and vigorous nature in colours. They are invented worlds, newfound memories that feed my daily life, my creativity and my life force. It is also a way of travelling to parallel, unknown, foreign universes."
