"The Palladian Villas have always fascinated me and brought me back to a reality poised between the dreamlike and the grandiose past of the Republic of Venice. A night walk and you realize that the statues that populate the gardens of these villas are the only silent inhabitants that come from other times and suggest the immobility of a perhaps not so distant future.Myths and heroes who stand among hidden branches and try to tell us something - a battle won and another lost, a love consumed by anger or from passion, a reason to exist. The starry sky is perhaps the same one I found among Mario Schifano's Palms as a child and stared, waiting to see the darting of a comet."
