WHAT IS YOUR PATH AND WHAT WAS THE SPARK THAT LEAD YOU TO ART AND CREATION?

I've always been surrounded by artists with an artist father (music, ceramics, visual arts...), a mother who draws, a grandfather, an uncle and a brother who are all photographers... So there wasn't a real and just click, but a long way to find my voice.

WHICH MEDIUM INSPIRES YOU THE MOST AND WHY?

I don't have a favorite medium, I love to explore new media. Right now I do a lot of frescoes but I also like working on smaller supports.

WHAT ARE YOUR INFLUENCES AND INSPIRATIONS?

I come from the world of graphics, of which I believe I have maintained a certain rigor in the structuring of my images and in the creation of the shapes I use. My inspirations are many, but they come in particular from nature whose colors and vibrations I try to capture. On an artistic level, I often mention Alexander Girard, whose pluridisciplinarity and very colorful and joyful creations I appreciate. The work of my spouse - Jérôme Masi - is of course also a source of inspiration.

WHAT IS YOUR CREATIVE PROCESS?

The first step is that of the notebook, where I launch a few ideas quickly in the form of sketches. Then I go to the computer where I rework the shapes and do my color tests. Then it depends on the nature of the project, either I finish the project for print, or I take out the brushes...

HAVE YOU EVER HAD EXPERIENCE IN AN ART GALLERY?

I regularly collaborate with the Art by Friends gallery in Annecy which organizes many events (exhibitions, art tours...)

DID YOU ALREADY KNOW ABOUT REPRODUCTION (SCREEN PRINTING, RISOGRAPHY, PIGMENT PRINTING) AND MULTIPLES?

I have mastered many printing techniques and I regularly use screen printing or inkjet printing to reproduce my illustrations. Some time ago I had the pleasure of discovering risography - which I knew about but had never used. It was a revelation! Rendering really brings out my illustrations. So I regularly make Riso prints that I work especially for this technique.

WHICH WORK OF ART WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO ACCOMPANY YOU THROUGHOUT YOUR LIFE?

Pfff... it's very difficult to choose, but maybe it's a painting by Mirò.

WHICH EXHIBITION, ARTIST OR WORK OF ART MOVED YOU THE MOST?

When I was a student, I was lucky enough to see the «Sensation» exhibition in Berlin, with, among others, cut-out animals by Damien Hirst, hyper-realistic sculptures by Ron Mueck, very disturbing installations by Jake and Dinos Chapman… In short, a huge slap!

A PLACE THAT INSPIRES YOU?

I am lucky to live in an exceptional place between lake and mountains. I also love the ocean. They are very relaxing places that allow you to catch your breath.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE COLOUR?

I love all colours! I love working their association, mixing them and finding new combinations…

A MUSIC THAT TRANSPORTS YOU?

I listen to a lot of music, but it would be hard to pick one…it depends on the time of day and my mood.

AN ESSENTIAL BOOK FOR YOUR LIBRARY?

I recently read "Primo di cordata" by Roger Frison-Roche. This book transported me... I am passionate about mountain and adventure stories - there is also a very personal dimension because my grandfather read passages to me when we were children.

A FILM THAT MARKED YOU?

I have long been traumatized by «Teeth of the Sea» which I saw too young! I was able to overcome this fear thanks to diving and my attraction to the seabed.

A CHILDHOOD MEMORY?

WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL DAY LIKE?

I take my daughter to school in the morning, sometimes a coffee with friends, then ride my bike to the workshop. The days are very busy and go by very quickly and the projects I work on are very varied, so I'm not bored!

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF GARANCE & MARION IN THE EVOLUTION OF YOUR CAREER AS AN ARTIST?

Garance & Marion allowed me to have my first Italian exhibition! I hope to be able to continue this collaboration on other topics.
